Fresh Direct is an online grocer that delivers to residences and offices in the New York City metropolitan area. Introduced to the New York market in 2002, Fresh Direct grew popular for its convenience, fresh food and lower prices than many Manhattans supermarkets. Fresh Direct is based in a 300,000-square-foot building in Long Island City and is one of the largest employers in the area.

Background: Care Security Systems was awarded the contract to provide Fresh Direct with a complex CCTV, turnstile and access control system at their two locations in Long Island City. Indoor and outdoor cameras were installed in a variety of environmental conditions such as 30 below zero food storage areas.
